Hi! My name is Jarkko, and I am a blogger, web designer, internet enthusiast, a dad and husband, and a guy insanely interested in way too many things. As a big fan of the Train for Humanity project from early on, I decided to pick up running again this January to be able to join this second phase of Train for Humanity, and do some good while getting in better shape.
I have never participated in a sports event before, so I’m both nervous and excited to be training for Helsinki City Run, the biggest yearly half marathon event in Finland.
Train for Humanity is an amazing, transparent organization aiming to help the least fortunate in this world: All of the funds raised go to Darfur Peace & Development Organization’s program to build and support schools. The Internet is an amazing place where people are not afraid to show their true values. Now is our time to show we care and bring some relief to the people who are suffering.
Thank you for your support!
Good luck tomorrow, Jarkko!! Have a great time and enjoy the run.
Thanks, Mark! The race was good and I had a good time running through Helsinki. I’ll post a report later this week :)
Looking forward to running some more.
