Become a TFH “Everyday Athlete”

Become a TFH Participant!

Would you like to get back into shape or are you already an endurance athlete? Are you thinking about training for your first one mile run or your tenth 100 mile bike race?

As we complete the first phase of the Train for Humanity launch, we’ll be opening up TFH to people around the world who want to make a difference.

Participating is easy, and you don’t have to be an elite athlete. Anyone with a desire to make a difference can participate - the only requirement is that you take part in an endurance event, such as running, walking, cycling, or swimming. The distance isn’t important. Some TFH participants will run marathons, others will walk a few miles, but they’ll all be making a difference in the lives of children, orphans, and refugees who have been affected or displaced due to genocide or civil war.

[...] According to the website, they “unite the training efforts of everyday regular athletes (with) the power of social media and blogging to help raise funds and awareness for those who are suffering.” You can help by spreading the word about them on your website, by sponsoring one of their athletes (Leo Babuata, Dan Clements and Mark Hayward are the pilot project bloggers participating). As well, they will soon be opening it up for Train For Humanity Everyday Athletes, where you or I can sign on. For more information on doing this, please visit their sign up page at TFH Participate.
